I did a few random searches on grooveshark for some thematic music.

“Ariadne” will produce either death metal or really sad instrumental pieces.

“Dionysus” produces really whacked out electronica. Like, it might cool for five seconds, and then it just gets really annoying, like it’s driving my brain crazy.

“Bacchus” is the same as Dionysus, but with some metal thrown in, too. (though not like the super angry-scary Ariadne stuff.)

And then I realize how appropriate this is. Ariadne probably is sad and really angry, too.

And Dionysus is pretty crazy. Like, he’s not someone you have a quiet meal with. You don’t just let him hang out while you’re trying to do the dishes or cook dinner. He’s insane and tweeky and maddening and distracting. I really really really want to get to know him and listen to him, but he’s probably just too crazy for my logical brain to wrap around.

So, tumblr-minded Dionysians. What are your favorite Bacchus and/or Ariadne inspired songs?
