γνῶθι σαυτόν

And to know thyself, therefore, is to know God.

  • okay! tumblr crafty people!
what is something tasty and non-toxic I can use to write on food? I’m thinking apples, but if not that, maybe a bread item.

  • It may seem pre-emptive, but since I’m starting graduate school next week (eeee!) I need to write my Mabon ritual early, since I’m hosting this year.
Now, it kind of needs to be a big deal. Mabon is our “birthday”, making the first time I invited people to my house for ritual. We’ve been doing this group since 2009, and it means a lot to me (and others too, I hope.)
So, what are your favorite Mabon rituals and ideas? I want something that embraces hearth and home, family and community. We all have a lot to be thankful for, and this ritual needs to reflect that.
Right now I’m thinking apples, honey, grapes, wine, cider, Demeter, brooms…? but I’m open for ideas!
Thanks!
